Chris Cornell’s “The Promise”
Overview:
Chris Cornell’s final song was the anthemic “The Promise“—the title track to the film of the same name. His final musical gift to the world was a deeply personal song for Chris because of his family’s connection to the Armenian Genocide of the early 20th Century, which also affected the Greek and Assyrian communities. In honor of his legacy, both in his contributions to music and his humanitarian work with refugees, we invite you to record your version of “The Promise.”
Instructions:
- Record a video of your version of “The Promise.” This can be an instrumental cover, a vocal cover, a solo performance, or a group performance. The only instructions is that it should be your interpretation of Chris Cornell’s “The Promise” and should reflect what the song means to you.
